"Building health, self-esteem, and self-confidence in a safe community environment"
Please check back prior to race day for possible updates.
Allow at least a half hour for the registration process.
We wanted to update you with the following information and critical timings for the day on Sunday.
8:15 Check-In and the Transition Area opens.
Upon arrival your first stop should be the Check-In/Registration Table to collect your racing bib, your timing chip and have your body marked. Once you have all this you can head to the Transition Area with your bike and gear.
You have to be registered and have time to get your stuff set-up in the Transition Area before your race starts, so registration for each age group will close as follows:
9:30AM Registration Closes for 7th and 8th Graders
10:00AM Registration Closes for 5th and 6th Graders
10:00AM Registration Closes for 3rd and 4th Graders
Now the really exciting race stuff...
All athletes will start 15 seconds apart, which is closer than last year, so the wait times in line will be drastically reduced! The Start times are as follow:
7th and 8th Graders:
9:45am Pre-race briefing and line up in the start area
10:00 - START
5th and 6th Graders:
10:15am Pre-race briefing and line up in the start area
10:30 - START
3rd and 4th Graders:
10:30 am Pre-race briefing and line up in the start area
10:45 - START
PLEASE NOTE: The above times are due to change based on the number of participants. Please be early, you can always support our other athletes!!
This is an amazing accomplishment for our children, they coud all use your support!
The timing system is based on a pre-assigned start time (ie. athlete #1 will be in the water at 10:00am), so we have no room for error. If you are late or not ready at the assigned time, you won't be able to race - and we really don't want that to happen! So please insure that you are checked in and in the Start Area for the pre-race briefing at the given time.
To help in getting you ready for the day, we have attached a quick summary called "Race Day in 4 Easy Steps". Reading through this on Prior to the event should help you with all the logistics that go into Race Day and answer any last-minute questions that you may have.
We do plan to race rain or shine. So please, please, please help us hope for bright, sunny skies and great weather!!!
Thanks and look forward to seeing you all on Sunday !!!
